Ballet

By

Bernadette managed to go to ballet yesterday but we just sat and watched.  The room was full of little girls in pink who had tons of energy.  After 35 minutes though, Bernadette was bored and tired.  She came home and slept for over an hour.  I asked her if she wanted to go again next week and she said no.  Oh well.  Just happy she went the once.  She might change her mind by next week.  She’s been known to to that.

Bernadette did try on the fancy tutu from Auntie Sylvie’s friend in Australia.  Even though she’s not smiling she allowed her picture to be taken.  Then she decided she didn’t want to wear it to ballet.  In fact she didn’t want to go at all until I offered that we just go in her regular clothes and watch.  For those interested the brief moment looking like a ballerina (without the hair brush yet) will be posted on the photos page.  Beautiful tutu.  Thank you, Auntie Sylvie!!!!

Bernadette is also thrilled that the results of her blood work over the last couple weeks shows that things have stabilized so she doesn’t need bood taken this next week.  She’s thrilled.

Marc was concerned that she wasn’t eating and the doctor prescribed a steroid medication with the side effect of increasing one’s appetite. When she found out we were going to give it to her and why, Bernadette’s immediate comment was:  “I’ll eat!  I’ll eat!”  Then she proceeded to eat FOUR of Meme’s awesome buns.  Truth be known, I’ve yet to meet anyone who can resist Meme’s awesome buns, least of all Bernadette.  ha ha

Well Bernadette, I think you look like a fairy princess in that beautiful tutu. I am sure you can float like a feather and dance like tinkerbelle. You can dance at home and flit and flutter whenever you want. I’m glad you got out of the house and had an adventure even if you didn’t dance. Here is your joke of the day. Ready?…………. Where do cows go on Saturday night? Ready? It’s a groaner………to the mooooovies of course. Hahahahaha. Sending you a prayer hug. With love. Virginia

Great Bernadette. Getting out and watching the girls dance is sometimes more interesting than actually participating, because you can see what they are doing and not concentrate on what you should be doing. Try to go again, even if it is just to watch, maybe you could try something easy–like stand on your toes. You could try at home, when no one is watching. Do near the sofa, then you could add a fancy fall on to the sofa. Prayers and lots of love Marie

Hooray for Bernadette!
Glad you made it to Ballet, even if it was only to watch. I think that tutu looks amazing on you!
Love from Auntie Sylvie xoxo
