Today was another difficult day. After a totally lousy night sleep, Bernadette struggled through the day with a nasty headache and a fever. Just when we were hoping maybe she was over the worst of it. deep sigh Advil and Tylenol don’t seem to be helping with the headache, but they are bringing down her fever a little.
Today we had a visit from Sarah, a homecare nurse, who will be coming to help with Bernadette a couple times a week for now. Sarah has a little girl who is seven and she’s allowed to bring her along. So maybe next time Bernadette and/or Catherine will have a little playmate join us when Sarah visits. That would be very nice – especially for Catherine who desperately misses Bernadette’s company.
