Today Bernadette was literally in tears of panic. Horror of horrors! Her second bottom middle tooth came loose today. I didn’t warn her it would come loose soon because the first one was so traumatic for her that I was hoping she’d have a bit of a break and come to realize that it wasn’t so bad. But nooooooooooooooo. No rest for the weary! Sometimes I seriously think that whoever thought up “Murphy’s Law” honestly thought God’s middle name was Murphy. I know that losing her teeth is a normal part of being six, I just wish she didn’t have to be going through it right now. Why not a few months ago when she could handle it better? Or a few months from now when she might be able to handle it better? But no, it has to be now. deep sigh Oh well, this too shall pass.
Other than that, Bernadette had an okay day. She started it early for a change, waking up before 8:00am and staying awake all day except for one short nap in the late afternoon. It was also dressing change day. That went very well. She has quite the rash on her tummy though but it doesn’t appear to be from the dressing. Tonight in the middle of a family movie (except the two big kids who were off to see the last Hobbit movie) Bernadette decided she’d like to go soak in the tub. Wow. Now I’m really hoping she’ll be down for the night. I think Joseph is hoping so too as he only went to bed now. Thank goodness for being young though, huh.
