There was much sunshine in our basement family room today as Bernadette was in a great mood and more active than she’s been in almost a month. Wahoo! She spent last night watching “The Lego Movie” with Joseph and then they built a Lego house with removable floors. She didn’t fall sleep until around 6:00am. Poor Joseph. Then she slept right through Mrs. Bakker, her godmother, sitting with her while the rest of us went to Mass and celebrated niece/granddaughter Ruth’s baptism. (That still sounds so weird.)
Once Bernadette woke up she was full of energy – comparatively speaking of course. She had a great day eating and was very talkative. She showed Catherine how to play that Poptropica game that she found for her iPad, watched two movies with Mommy, and kept moving from couch to bed to chair to bed to couch, and on and on. Right now she’s on the couch playing on her iPad. I’m suppose to be watching and learning. Little does she know that I’m totally electronic game challenged and everything she’s doing is way above my head. At one point I had to take Zoe up to bed and told her I’d be right back. At the stairs her little voice followed me, “Hurry back! I’ll be waiting.” And sure enough she was. Too cute.
All in all she had a great day. I just wish she could have more than one good day in a row. We can always hope and pray tomorrow will be more of today if not better.
