This has been a heart wrenching week flooded with tears and pain as we prepared for Bernadette’s funeral.
We feel we need to explain just a little some of the decisions we have made so there are no surprises tomorrow or Saturday for those who are able to attend the prayers and/or funeral Mass.
One of the things that Bernadette always hated from the time she was very little to the day she passed away was to be looked at or to be talked about. So to honor her memory we’ve decided as a family not to have an open casket or a eulogy so she’s not looked at or talked about. As much as we’d dearly love both we just felt it was one way we could honor her memory.
